TO WADI RUM
Wadi Rum is in the south of Jordan and only two hours from one of the seven wonders of the world, Petra. Jordan’s capital, Amman, is easily reached by aircraft. There are daily flights from major international airports and only takes 4 to 5 hours to fly from most European capitals to Amman.
From Jordan’s Queen Alia International airport, it is another short 3 to 4 hours drive to Wadi Rum.
1. FROM AMMAN BY TAXI OR RENT A CAR
You can take a taxi or service taxi which is the fastest way to meet us. You can also rent a car and drive here in 3.5 hours!
2. FROM WADI MUSA (PETRA) BY MINIBUS
There are also minibus that leave from the Wahadat Station in Amman to Wadi Musa (Petra) or Aqaba. From Wadi Musa (Petra), there are minibus to Wadi Rum (7 JD) and it takes only 1.5 hours. It’s best to have your guesthouse reserve seats or pickup a day in advance. Bus or taxi will arrive at the Wadi Rum Tourist Centre (MAP) where we will meet you.
3. FROM NEWEIBA,EGYPT BY FERRY
If you are coming from Egypt, you can take the ferry from Nuweiba (close to Dahab) to Aqaba in Jordan. Then take a taxi from Aqaba to Wadi Rum village only takes about 40 minutes.
FROM WADI RUM
1. MINIBUS FROM WADI RUM TO WADI MUSA (PETRA):
Costs 7 Jordanian Dinars (JD) each person and leave around 8:30am. It takes 1.5 hours.
(Have your Wadi Rum Guesthouse or your tour operator call the bus owner the day before to arrange an exact time for pick up.)
2. MINIBUS FROM WADI RUM TO AQABA:
Costs 3 Jordanian Dinars (JD) each person and leave around 7am
